43-year-old Scott Litten of Anderson was originally charged
with sexual battery, but the charges were upgraded to felony child molesting
after investigators with the Department of Child Services spoke to the girl.
The Johnson County Sheriff's office says the girl told
detectives she was kissed and fondled by Litten on Sunday at a home in the 5600
block of South 550 East. Police haven't said whether Litten and the girl are
related.
Captain Dave Bursten with Indiana State Police says Litten
will remain on leave with pay pending the outcome of the case. Bursten says
Litten has been with Capitol Police since July 2002.
