FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Raleigh police officer has been released on bond following his arrest for soliciting a teenager for sex.
A statement from Fayetteville police said 34-year-old Jason Brandon Hoyle is charged with promoting prostitution of a minor and participating in the prostitution of a minor. Hoyle is accused of paying a teenager for sex on Feb. 7.
Raleigh police spokesman Jim Sughrue (shuh-GREW') said an internal administrative investigation is under way.
Authorities also said 17-year-old Tiara Michelle Bradshaw was arrested and charged with misdemeanor solicitation for prostitution.
Hoyle was freed on $100,000 bond. Bradshaw was released on a written promise to appear in court. It's not clear if either suspect had an attorney.
Raleigh police spokesman Jim Sughrue (shuh-GREW') said an internal administrative investigation is under way. Hoyle has worked for the Raleigh Police Department since October 2000 and is assigned to the detective division.
