“It’s becoming a
disturbingly familiar scene in America - mentally unstable cops”
On Wednesday, around 12:30 a.m., police arrived at the Lincoln Motel on
Lincoln Highway in response to a report of the possible abduction of the
teenage girl, according to the Bucks County Courier Times.
When they arrived, police say they found Anthony Dattilo, 36, along with a
14-year-old girl and another woman. Dattilo is a 12-year police veteran in
Northeast Philadelphia’s 2nd district. Dattilo’s family also owns a deli in
Northeast Philadelphia. The Daily News reports the other woman who was with Dattilo
and the teen may have been his 21-year-old girlfriend who may have solicited
the girl to join them at the motel.
The 14-year-old told police Dattilo and the other woman picked her up in
Philadelphia and drove to the motel. The teen claims she sent a text message telling
relatives Dattilo and the other woman held her against her will. Dattilo also
allegedly offered the girl $100 to have sex with him. He then allegedly began
to fondle the teen right before police arrived.
Dattilo was arrested and charged with aggravated indecent assault without
consent, unlawful contact with a minor, patronizing of prostitutes, corruption
of minors and other related offenses. He was being held at a county jail after
failing to post 10% of 500,000 bail, according to the Daily Times. He is
scheduled for a preliminary hearing on May 10.
