Carlos Martinez, a Monroe cop faces multiple felony charges
for a nearly decade-long sexual relationship with a young girl that began when
she was only 14. WSP Lt. Ron Mead says Martinez, "used his position of
authority as a law enforcement cop to isolate and manipulate the young girl
into the relationship."Martinez served with the department for 20 years,
spending nine years in elementary and middle schools as a Drug Abuse Resistance
Education cop, The Everett Herald reported. Investigators learned Martinez
photographed the victim without her knowing it while she used the bathroom. He
also allegedly continued to take pictures and videos while involved in
"sexually explicit conduct."
